I can speak only for myself, but I am frequently unaware of bugs in my area. I am maintaining kcalc, but since I am not the original developer, none of them get assigned to me. If I am not CC'd on a bug report, I'm not aware of it until the next time I go searching for bugs. Heck, until last week I wasn't even aware of several dozen wishlist items, because they don't show up in regular searches.

That's not an excuse, however. Just offering some info as to why some bugs seems to languish.

Brandybuck,

There is a Bugzilla setting that allows you to watch another user, if they get a bug assigned to them you also get a copy of the mail. Go into E-mail preferences and add the default assignee there.

Also are they still working on kcalc? If not you can request the default assignee to be changed to you.
