Konqueror 3.5.10 - Photobook instead of Image view?

Hello,

I am new on this forum. KDE was always my best option. I always seemed to have trouble understanding how Gnome works.
Thanks for all the hard work.

I would like to ask a question, Konqueror has two options to view images, once it's Image view, the other is Photobook. I've seen someone complaining about Photobook missing, however for me the Image view is far more convenient.
I recently installed a new version of Sabayon and I can hardly manage to browse though tons of my pics using the Photobook.
Can this somehow be configured or changed? It looks like the Image view is gone.
I have KDE 3.5, so I was wondering what is the problem with having both Image View and Photobook?
What's in the KDE version 4?

I posted some of my problems I have, I don't know if this is a distro problem:
http://forum.sabayonlinux.org/viewtopic ... 59&t=15979
When I have a photo opened, I cannot navigate through my folders in the Navigation Panel, it simply tries to open a folder and never finishes. I have to close Konqueror and reopen.

Photobook seems to be messing around a bit. I only know the Sabayon version where I had the Image views was rock stable. That was Sabayon 3.4f and 5.3.1.
Photobook - not very stable with Sabayon at any point.

Now in order to get the functionality of the Image view I installed an old version of GQview and use both, Konqueror and GQview to browse through my images, not very convenient, don't you think?

Can someone explain, why those changes take place?

Thanks,
Richard

If you hit back, then start browsing folders, you should be fine. Alternately use the View > View Mode menu to change to a different mode.

Hi,

I am now back with Konqueror 3.5.9.
I have the following options in the View menu:
- Icon View
- Multi Column view
- Tree View
- Info List View
- Detailed List View
- Text View
- Image View
- Photobook View
- File Size View
- File Replace View.

Should I also have them in the 3.5.10 version? Has anything changed? I don't know if this a distro problem.

Thanks,
Richard

You should have all of them available to you in KDE 3.5.10.
