Plasma supports Python, Ruby, JavaScript and works on every platform - why not to use it in webdevelopment?
Plasmoids in browser could be an alternative for Flash, Silverlight, etc. What do you think about this idea? |

that's actually already working to some degree. At least I once read some developer blog posts about this and saw a screenshot of the clock widget inside firefox. Afair there's a netscape plugin for this in playground somewhere.

I think it already can be done on Firefox and Opera. There was a blog post by Aaron Siego about that...
