My first impression was "Wow"! Really nice work, and I feel this project has a lot of road ahead of it. So keep up the great work.
First thing I noticed, and I know it is probably a simple fix, but thought I would bring it up, and I am sure someone else has already done that, is the clock format of being a 24 hour hour without the option to set it to a 12 hour, since I live in the States, a 12 hour clock is more appropriate for me. Also I noticed I had no sound right off, even though the intro music played just fine. Seemed like the volume control did nothing until I opened the control panel and adjusted the PCM control up. I had to do this every time and this is very annoying, at least for me. The LCD Plasma widget was frustrating also, and I never could get it to work at all, maybe a better set of instructions or better detail may be in line for this issue. All in all, my experience was easy to get around with a few glitches like the desktop plasma widget, after adding icons to it, it crashed and after re-boot, the widget was there but my icons were gone, then later, after a quick log out and back in, they re- appeared. This is a beautiful desktop, and I feel with a little work, will be here for the long run! :-P |

For the 24-hour clock thing, you can change that in the Regional and Language section in the System Settings application, in the time tab.

Thanks for the info. but it seems that there could be an easier way or a simple tab that says 12/24 hour format. I believe the whole"Time server issue is confusing for the average user." ![]() |

Yes, it would be nice if one could easily switch between 12 and 24 formats. Just setting a locale isn't sufficient, because several locales will use both formats.
Don't look back! (Or you might see the giants whose shoulders we stand on)
