You need to select the "Gtk" as your "Style" in System Settings > Appearance. Qt 4.5 is a requirement, I do not know if this is available in KDE 4.2.

The Air theme can be installed from KDE Playground.
It is located at svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/pl ... ptheme/air

(EDITED) For me Oxygen is fine with the "Evening Lilac" colors. Unfortunatley it's a dark scheme that makes some menu and button text invisible, which I am trying to solve. I love this scheme because the fonts are brisk and sharp.

I like the sharp, clear themes without the glare best. Plateau is my favorite. I also like Cream, but I'd like it more if the analog clock had a second hand.

I love qtcurve. It looks very good if you know how to configure it.
