Since KDE4 the single-click behavior is really great. After I've used it for while I would not like to miss it again.

Single-click. I switched to single-click in windows 2000, but KDE does it much, much better with the +/-. In KDE 4.3 they scale better with the icons, which makes it even more useful. I can't stand double-click mode anymore.

I use double. I used single for a while, but I've recently been switching a lot between KDE and other DEs and WMs (that all use double click) so I keep it at double now. Also because I use some GTK apps.

I use double-click. I might check out single-click after all these comments, though...

Single Click, of course :)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Single-click!

BTW, it is less hazardous to move from a single-click environment to a double-click environment than from double to single-click. Single-clicking in a double-click environment will just do nothing, and you take a second to realize that you need to double-click things. Double-clicking in a single-click environment may lead to a number of outcomes: launching the app twice, double-submitting the page, going two directories down in the file manager, etc.

Also, the web browsers are designed to be single-click environments (single-click the link to move to the next page, single-click the submit button, etc)

Well, I switched a lot of times between Single- and Double-Click. First I was a little bit confused with Single-Click and opend a lot of files instead of selecting them - I hated that!

But now (after some practice) I'm prefering the Singe-Click, too - No I'm loving it! :)

I embraced single-click the moment I had my first KDE desktop (that was 3.2 ...). However, I often set up people who are new to Linux with double-click, because of all the Gnome/GTK app dialogue boxes that need this. It may seem a little thing, but this inconsistency is an example of the kind of 'little thing' that new users can find really confusing and annoying.
