While randomly browsing, I found an interesting product. Their logo looks like the Oxygen Konqueror icon mirrored.
On http://www.pxlcreations.com/ff/portfolio.php I see what looks like one of the Oxygen folder icons, and a fake w3c validator link that seems to go to a redirect loop. I don't know what to do, other than post it here so someone else can do something if they want to. |

afaik there is nothing stopping you downloading OOo or Kubuntu or Debian or OpenSuse and flogging it for £50 - you can even remaster the CDs/DVDs as long as you comply to the various licenses. Is Oxygen GPL? I am pretty certain of that.
If so, certainly iCons (in this case the name appears well chosen, it is a con) with their statement "Copyright 2008 PXL Creations, All Images are Copyright Their Respective Owners, All Rights Reserved 2008-2009" are in breach of the GPL and I hope somebody will explain the sublteties of the GPL to them ![]() I am not so sure about the other examples, but iCons is blatant! Thanks for pointing this out, afuchs.

Please contact the kde-artists@kde.org mailing list about this.
I can't remember the precise Oxygen *GPL license variant though, it might be LGPL.

Oxygen is LGPL3 and CC-licensed.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I came across this post a few days ago and corrected our logos. I did not mean to step on anyone's toes and am very sorry for using the icons in the first place. The logos on PXL Creations are now changed and are not copies of anything from Oxygen. Again, I am very sorry and I hope you will all forgive me. Thank you.

@PXLCreations:
There was no real need to remove them entirely, that's the benefit of the licenses. They allow you to use this work, you would just need to mention the original license and copyright holder. See http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.html and http://creativecommons.org/ for further details. |

Ok, I will keep that in mind if I ever decide to use one of their icons again. Again, sorry for any trouble that I caused.
