I would also like to add that if you don't want to make a real addition to improve KDE just don't write anything at all...
I don't go to Gnome and preach them what they should or shouldn't do. And believe me that I see as much mistakes with Gnome as you with KDE. I also don't agree with bailout. I don't think that "Gnome domination" won't be good for Linux as it would "kill" the main advantage of Linux over other other OS (well not all) - the choice. I still think that KDE user base is strong and more3 active than Gnome at least that's the feeling that I get from forums... So if anyone has a constructive idea how to improve KDE pleas use brainstorm section or bko.

Kde4 has become more popular than kde3 was, take Ubuntu forums as an example- prior to kde4 there was only a small amout of kde3 screenshots ever posted in relation to Gnome shots. Now kde4 has launched we see lots of kde desktops, not as many as Gnome obviously but more than when kde3 was doing the rounds. the same trend is seen on many linux forums, granted a lot of disgruntled kde3 fans still trolling but seem to be fading away.
So to say kde4 has lost users is baseless and not in line with what the trends are telling us. |
