here is an idea.. why not support more than one mouse, the result would be something like mutli touch screen...
as far as i saw about mutli touch screen, users use only two fingers to do taskes like rotate or zoom photos. Although it can be possible to use more fingers, but it would seem that for now, most uses cases will involve only two fingers... This is going to be possible and alot affordable, especailly that the extra hardware involved is a cheap mouse, not an expensive multi touch screen. |

Wouldn't this fit better in Brainstorm section?
I advise you to try and get more details about it; AFAIK there's some support for that in X and Compiz... Then post this in brainstorm section.

This is a good idea. I think a notebook that has a kind of mouse/touchpad on the sides of the screen has been released recently. Especially for portable devices this could be very handy since you don't have to carry a mouse with you. Would be interesting to check out some reviews on the new notebook to see if that's an useful feature.

On Linux you need to wait until multipointer / MPX support enters Xorg. This was promised some time ago but it is delayed.
