Just connected my backup drive into my computer..and good golly miss molly, Dolphin should be renamed 'Tortoise' it's so slow! I've got about 150 gigs here, and I don't know why Dolphin is slow...couldnt be attempting to read them all at a deep level, could it?

in FAT32 drives the free space is not stored in the FS but has to be calculated each time
maybe dolphin freezes on this when trying to display the bar under the drive name in the panel |

The drive is formatted to ext3.
I'll see if disabling those features help. -Dante

then it may be related to previewing some files in drive/ and drive/1st level sub-folders/
see if you can isolate the problem by moving files to deeper sub folders if there is single file that caused this maybe report bug and include the file |
