I run debian testing with kde3.5 from debian snapshots (there are all bugfixes in till it das droped). Rollouts are Debian stable + gnome (that will likely cause less troble when next stable is out than) or xfce.
debian testing + kde4.3.2 is nothing I would recommend. |

I like kubuntu and all, but after using Gentoo/KDE from sources, some of the things in Kubuntu irritate me...
Sorry guys, I'm done ranting for today

Friends? Some of you have friends that use Linux?
I'm so alone

My nephew is system-agnositc, he tried Linux, and is now on Windows 7. (He's a DJ, and Linux DOES suck at all things musical

I'm using arch linux which is very good (and fast
) if you have some linux experience but i wouldn't recommend it to new users. (read: afraid of command prompt... ) I haven't tried the modular kde version yet, well at least kopete works
Me too, all of my friends are talking about windows 7... ...then they have to reboot because they installed something. Makes me happy again

I am also looking for a good KDE distribution. Currently I am using sidux for almost 1 year, but the system got a little bit
too much bugs in essential things ( xorg / wlan ). After reading a while I think I will choose either Arch, Mandriva or Kubuntu. Kubuntu would be the easiest, because it was my first distro and I like the apt system. Arch and Mandriva are complete new for me. I think I will test all of them. |

KDEmod + Arch Linux / OpenSUSE has given me the best KDE experience thus far. I'm biased toward Arch at the moment though, as OpenSUSE bothered me slightly. Not because it was bad, but because I wasn't familiar with it and didn't want to learn a new distro.

In a roundup of KDE distributions LinuxFormat 126 gives openSUSE top billing with Kubuntu a close second but notes that the gap between the distros isn't as wide as in other comparative reviews it has done.
