Firstly I just want to say a massive congratulations on KDE 4.3.0, you have really done an amazing job.
Now I have to say that whenever I've tried KDE4 in the past I have hated it. I liked the ideas but the stability was always utterly useless. Even on my default Kubuntu Jaunty install with the 2.6.28 kernel, KDE 4.2.4, and X-Server 1.6.0 it has horrible. Repeated SIGEV faults and crashes made it absolutely horrible to use. However since doing a clean install and modifying Kubuntu 9.04 with the 2.6.30 kernel. KDE 4.3.0, X-Server 1.6.3 and the nVidia 190.18 BETA driver, KDE4 has been nothing but a joy to use. No crashes, Konqueror doesn't suck anymore, the air theme just looks beautiful (way better than Windows 7 could dream of), WIFI is no longer a nightmare to setup, no annoying KWIN glitches, and an all round general feeling of satisfaction when using it. So again, congratulations. I'm now a KDE4 user ![]() |

Glad to hear it. Are beta drivers usually a safe thing to try out? If so, I may give it a shot.

I wouldn't go as far as to say usually, but I never had any problems with the nvidia-beta drivers. Or not recently at least - including the 185.x and 190.x series. YMMV may vary.
