Dunno if this is simple, I guess it would be.
Although I am addicted to Kioslaves, with non-KDE apps I need to mount a share so thay can access the files on it. Think of Gimp, Open Office, Media players.... So, instead of having an smb4k icon (has that been ported over yet??) sitting in the systray, I would simply want to be able to navigate to a SMB share, and then click on on icon to mount it under my home folder. Why? Because many times I use Dolphin to go to the share, and then I find out that there is a file I need to open that requires a non-KDE application. So I need to fire up smb4k, navigate to the share again and mount it so I can open the file and save it back. Please??

FYI, it has been ported. Version 0.10.1 is KDE4-based.
