Works here. In Dolphin and folderview. To be honest, for the latter it first needs to have focus, yes (Ctrl+LMB).

yes, the focus, that leads to another thing (tested on 4.3.2, not 4.3.3 so it may be gone already): plasmoids don't get focus when focus policy is "follow mouse" + activation delay (0.5s). but a popup comes up with some more or less useful information. to get rid of that popup I have to click at it and press esc.

I hope that konq file manager mode isn't dropped. Not all of us like dophin.
I like it in file manager mode for lots of good reasons and other people even on here have shared them. I like it as the swiss army knife.I like the tabs and using each tab as a file manager or browser.
Took me hrs to find that some one not thinking right put the nodisplay in the Home.desktop file . Thats not good at all . I like it in the menu (classic) . I like it on the kicker(plasma panel) . I never cared for it in web browser mode but there are people that like it so it should stay too. There are lots of missing features from konq file manger mode and I hope they all come back . I've been extremely disappointed in KDE4 with so many things that have been removed with out ever thinking people would be upset and frustrated. Some new things are nice but not all are. When CHIOCES are reduced its not a good practice at all. There are things we will never get used to or want to, Why , thats simple, because there was a better way.
Konsole has so many missing features too . I see even with the classic menu ,setting menu etc ,it still not clicking in that there are things that are just still better and should never have been dropped in the first place. But we still have to fight to get them back :(
Anyway I sure hope konq file manager mode isn't gone. For just a web browser there is already 2 better ones. But for some projects it was convenient to have it as that swiss army knife . Project I and I can see others did every day. You just made me feel completely depressed now :(

I still don't get how something so great would even be removed at all. If you want this light **** file manager , I'm fine with that . But why are we being forced to use that **** when both can be there.

more clicks as in the new K menu ? . Thats is a turtle mode menu for sure. It has a realy nice look . But I'm glad the classic came back. hover over is just 100% faster:). But jion the bugs to ad more people to get the nice skin, more of the right click again features and search too . I really like that edit menu in the right click so when you right click on the app it goes right to where it is in the app edit menu. But thats not available in either menu. No idea if its even on the todo list. Trying to find the list of todo is a hunt on its own too:)

the only launcher that works acceptable for is <alt><f2> :)

kmenu - old style - is kind of ok.
kmenu - new style and all offsprings - are unusable in my eyes.

Dolphin is not light, it's not ****, and you are not being forced to use anything. If you want to continue to use Konqueror, do so. If you want the bells and whistles that used to be in there, make sure you have konq-extras.

even with those we still have no kio media slave or equivalent (it was supposed to be th kio places slave) for kde4 which makes konq almost useless for serious file management

KIO media slave was killed by purpose during early KDE 4 development. The reason was that it was tied too much to KDE and kept breaking applications that couldn't rely on that URL.

In addition, the slave was unmaintained.

well of course I have konq-plugins and the fact still remains that it doesn't help much. Because there is still lots of missing features. Thats not an improvement AT ALL. Thats like having a million dollars and its removed and here is $5 . get it.
right click rename, delete, the search bar is so small in width its a pain to use now. gwenview should be an option to change to like quickshow and the basic default should be the html one(wich is far better) drag drop more options on the right click to send save drag drop on and on. now that konq is just dolphin trying to fool people(thats what it feels like) . There is no more usb things that are plugged in in server panel . Its nicer to rightt click and make it safge to remove. But now you have to open dolphin just to do that. The fact is I'm not talking konqueror(web mode) which is ther . But konqueror file manger mode(wich is allready set yp the way I love it for both). F9 doesn't cut it . All it was is a simple friggin Home.desktop that some one said we shouldn't have it any more and stuck in nodiplay=True.
I found it but it totally wrong doing that.
What I said is since you claimed that konq was going to get rid of the file manger mode all together and only have dolphin then I'd have no other chioce. I hate to see something great gone. I said **** to me and others too. But since its an obvious hint that people like you are saying its not worth having then you are calling konq file mode **** too.
anyway I hope the 2 choices stay not just that **** one(dolphin).
But more important I hope that konq file manager mode gets fixed soon. I sick of seeing important fuctions being taken over by looks that don't make things fuction at all .

Maybe nothing. I'll boot my Live Karmic CD and have a look.

(later)

Wait a minute... are you talking about something that's in Dolphin? Please tell me if I'm mistaken, so I can stop concentrating on telekinetically making your head explode. (Don't worry; that almost never works.)

Actually, trying to blow up someone's head may be a violation of the KDE code of conduct, so I apoologize for that.

I think that you were having a conversation about Konqueror vs. Dolphin. I was having a conversation about Konqueror 3 vs. Konqueror 4, and we got our wires crossed. I was particularly annoyed because I was having problems booting the Karmic Live CD to see what you were talking about. I had to resort to the safe graphics mode.
