hello,

i just installed debian squeeze with the new kde4.3 or so. i've been using kde for the past 7 years so i'm somewhat used to konfiguring it to suit my personal tastes etc etc blah blah.. .

the thing is with the new kde4 i have no idea what is going on, i can't find the kde control center which has all the options so i can deactivate all the "****" and personalize whatever is left.

i'm dont want to be a bad critique, i've been using and defending kde for a while now, but this time i can't find *anything*.

so what is the deal ? is there a package that i need to install to be able to configure this thing ?
i installed kdebase and then kde-standard (hoping that would contain kcontrol thing, but that actually installed mysql-server because apparently even netbooks need to have mysql running.. )

sorry, i'm a bit aggravated by all this. .. i hope i'm just missing something very obvious and that i won't have to resort to install windowmaker..

kcontrol is not anymore, it was replaced by systemsettings some time ago and now also includes the same way it was displayed like in kcontrol. It is a configuration option for systemsettings itself

yep, that is the one configuration tool that i did find, but now that i look more into it there seems to have been a bug with how i looked at it.. . i really thought i was using macos for a while, but it seems the real stuff is still there..
