"Sad" tendency in window decorations

Today Akregator showed me a new bunch of window decorations (from beryl to aurorae themes) from kde-look feed, and suddenly I see a tendency that leads to (at least for me) a huge usability problem: even if those decorations look gorgeous in the screen shots (well, most of them) you cannot tell at first glance if the window is active or not.
Even with oxygen/ozone in its default configuration it is hard to tell when the window is active or not.
Why is this happening? What's wrong in showing a different colour when the window is active or not?
Fortunately, crystal and bespin are highly configurable...
Any thought?

The active window is the one I am working in, I don't need a color for that

So if you are working on two documents side by side (any translator out there?), go to the toilet for half an hour (too much coffee) and return, you know the active window typing a character and seeing which document take it???
IMHO, this do not qualify for a "first glance recognition"...
(Before you complain about seeing the cursor blinking: this is only possible assuming you did not scroll the document...)
