Time to rant!
Every time i change desktops (1-6) or reboot, my desktops are different..
A simple little thing like remembering that the Fncking 'taskmanager' should 'Auto Hide', seems to be an unreasonable request.
I would be more understanding if this were a 'beta' version of KDE, but it is not. It is a 'Release' included in openSuSE 11.2...
The Fncking 'Plasma', as 'quite' an idea as it may be, Sucks!
Changing for what appears to be No reason.
Simple sharing is out of the question, but that is most likely a openSuSE issue, but then again, maybe not.

This release Sucks!

It times like this I wish I didn't Hate MicroSucks so bad.
I need to get work done. Yes I work from home and have some leeway to 'play' with new stuff, but I Still need to get work done, to make money.
This is supposed to be my primary workstation, replacment, but i'm don't see that fncking happening any time soon. Good thing I still have my openSuSE 11.1 / KDE KDE3 update to KDE4 update to KDE 4.3 workstation still at my desk. I tend to throw **** that **** me off.

the desktops keep shifting.
'widgets' for desktop 2 are on 3, 5 are on 6 and the 'application launcher' is smack in the middle of the desktop on 6... what the f*?
oh,, and once Again, the f*ing 'taskmanager' doesn't remember that it's to 'auto hide'...

Didn't I tell you to calm down before posting? The forum is not a place to vent your irritation. Also, please read the Code of Conduct if you haven't.

If you want to improve the current situation, the right approach is to file bugs on bugs.kde.org. Saying that 'this and that sucks' won't help. Not a tiny little bit.

Now for the actual problems:
Every time i change desktops (1-6) or reboot, my desktops are different..

I guess you use "Different activity for each desktop"? Does it happen if you restart Plasma?
Code: Select all
killall plasma-desktop
plasma-desktop

Works fine for me. When I was fiddling with dual screens etc. I encountered this, but I haven't done that in a while and don't know if I still can reproduce.

Have you tried to see if you can reproduce with a clean configuration (e.g. make the panel auto hide for a new user)? If you can, it would be helpful if you could submit a bug report with all the details (KDE SC version, how to reproduce etc.).

Changing for what appears to be No reason.

This has been brought up many times in the forum.

Simple sharing is out of the question, but that is most likely a openSuSE issue, but then again, maybe not.

Don't understand what you mean.

I don't use Konqueror very much so I can't answer this one.

Oh, and there a Image button - please use it when you want to edit a post, e.g. when you want to add something (instead of posting multiple posts in a row).

Konqueror FTP's just fine for me. It uses the same KIO as Dolphin, and it works fine too.

kio_ftp is part of KDELibs, so I suggest you check your installation. ( kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental )

@Landis

You have violated the forum and have been attempting to bypass the censoring system again and again. Repeated attempts can lead to a permanent ban from the forum.
