Deleting Files

Thu Jan 14, 2010 1:02 pm
Hi There

When I press the Del button on a group of files it appears KDE takes a very long time to delete them. It seems to run some kind of background move process. Why is the deletion process so slow? On Gnome it is instant. Also, why do I see funny process status messages appearing on what is supposed to be an incredibly short process? I can understand having a status window for long running copy operations, but delete file? Common this is madness.
