Which packages can I remove?

Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:54 pm
It seems that after executing yum update on my Fedora 11 system, KDE has been upgraded to 4.3.4 but that some packages from kde3 (kdelibs3-devel and kdebase3) haven't been removed. I guess that this is the reason why I can't compile a KDE-application.

Is it safe to remove these pacakages? Which other packages should I also remove to have a clean KDE4 environment?

Note that some applications such as K3b have not yet released stable KDE 4 versions.

It should be completely safe to remove kdelibs3-devel though.
