...does not exist.
This is a bit of a major gripe of mine; I would love, simply love to have a 'Media Centre' a la iTunes in KDE... When I say 'Media Centre' I mean one application that plays both video and audio files; has services to download the metadata for files (for video; think something like Moovida's metadata collectors), can sync devices (with a specialized UI for each type of device; standard music player? iPod? iPhone? Android device? etc etc It also has the ability to deal with podcasts of most (if not all) shapes and sizes...can rip audio disks, play DVDs (and maybe) blu-ray disks, rip music/video from said disks, burn it to them, view online TV, optional ten foot interface... The list goes on and on. In a way, we have that now; Amarok can do the audio...but the video side still seems a little odd...Kaffeine could probably be used for the role (it's place is up there with VLC to me) we've got loads of applications that specialize in this, but no native KDE apps that try to be all in one. I suppose you could basically say I want Banshee, in QT and C++, in KDE ![]() *sigh*

What is wrong with video in amaork?

Amarok would require a major remake of the ui to do so...

Amarok already supports video files and online videos.

Sort of, but with elements in the UI relating to videos.
Simply put....a KDE iTunes clone, if you want...but with KDE goodness ![]() Bang is good...but lacking; it cannot remember my videos and music...it kind of fails as both a music and video player...but it's in development ![]()
