icons on the systemtray

Received wisdom says right-click on the start button and get into the menu editor. Select an application and check the 'Place in system tray' check box and an icon should appear in the system tray. the trouble is they are invisible. Why is KDE 4.?.? still so infuriating??

It is possible this setting is broken. You may wish to file a bug report at bugs.kde.org..
