I have an old desktop running on Windows XP. Previously I left it with Windows because my brother used it and didn't know/want to use Linux. Now because nobody uses it I just use it to play around with. I've taken it apart twice already, and now I just leave it whenever I want to test Microsoft Office compatibility (which is once in a blue moon), and since it's got Flash MX 04 installed (which doesn't seem to work on wine) I leave it there.

Rarely used.

I've got an XP Partition for stitching Panoramas (I once bought a licence for PanoramaStudio, which is a really nice piece of software imho) and trying kde4win, an I have a Virtualbox VM for quickly testing something on windows. I must admit that I didn't have to pay for the XP Licenses, they are from the company where my father is working (they've got one of these volume license keys :-D).

I keep XP around for gaming and nothing more. It's a shame that I can't run games like Battlefield 2 effectively on Linux.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. After Codeweavers released crossover office for free two days ago I can now run office 2007 fine, which is the only thing I really used it for. I still need to test CX Games to see if it'll play anything I'm interested in.

I don't have any partitions for dual boot. My laptop is mostly used for programming (Java), so Eclipse and the JVM are very happy on my Linux. I have some games installed with wine, but they are also working without any problem (Blizzard games :)).
The only windows related software is an XP on VirtualBox - I can't find any alternatives for IBM - Rational Rose (UML modeling tool).
