Hi and happy new year.
I'd like to ask how the developers of KDE handle the bugs list (ans whishes) You look at it time by time, or is a writen process to treat the reports ? My question is generated as i look my bug reports and those of other users, some times there are very old bugs without any value to be opened, or there are bugs that noone has answered yet. On the other hand, what is the exceptable behavior of the user ? Personally, i try to go back and take a look if i have always the problem and finaly give the chance to the report to be closed. |

That very much depends on the individual project. What is missing in many cases are triagers who filter the lists for duplicates, old reports and so on. As one doesn't have to be a developer to do this we welcome every helping hand.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

You don't need any special knowledge in beforehand, I'm sure the other BugSquad members would be happy to teach you everything you need to know. All that's needed is time and passion. ![]()
