I've no idea. Please tell me? Clearly, you are missing the point.

bcooksley wrote:gedgon's issue in this case is probably graphics driver related. My guess is that the system is using the framebuffer driver.

Is this looks like framebuffer for you?

I tried running the game on Linux. Got 25% cpu usage on one core.

Anyone else with another fail to reproduce? It's so hard to run the same game, stay at menu and check CPU usage in any task manager, like on this screen shot?

Same game. Flash using 32% of single core

Edit: I notice that even X is taking up 25% of your CPU while mine is only taking 5%. I may not be an expert but that doesn't look right to me.

Are you that stupid, or just trying to fool yourself?

Watch your language here. No one was trying to trick you in any way, neither would it make sense to do so.

Kubuntu starts few times faster than xp on my PC.

You have tons of apps for this on Windows, 90% of them are better than Ark.

What's your point? He meant compressing/uncompressing is faster on Linux.

Konqueror? buhaha, Firefox? slow like hell on Linux, Opera? way better on Windows, Chrome/Chromium? Almost comparable.

Firefox runs much faster on Linux and it's more responsive (till we aren't talking about graphics, but db).

Again, tons for Windows, couple for Linux. Personally, I hate Amarok.

Man has missed the point, again...

Good enough for you?

You didn't give any good arguments.

Yeah, right, with kernel bugs like this https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12309
or Qt4 x11 native insanely slow backend? You have sample of fast and responsive KDE apps on old desktop above (YT video).

The same kernel "bug" is present on windows as well! You have something messed up if KDE is slow for you, because it's much faster than xp for me.
