Hello People of KDE!
I have had some issues with KDE these past few hours. I have had to end the plasma-desktop process due to making my computer laggy. But when I ended the plasma-desktop process it was very fast again. Also, I have never had this problem before. And, when the plasma interface is on the task bar is a little shorter then the screen, and where that gap is, it is flashing. For some reason, I could not click on any thing on the task bar. This was after moving some widget from underneath the taskbar named unnammec. How can I go about fixing this? I have tried rebooting and everything. Specs: 1Gb ram Kubuntu 10.4 1.6 GHZ Dual Core Intel Atom. I had about 5 Dolphin windows open and about 4 terminal windows open along with Kate. Does any one know a fix? Thanks. |

what version of KDE?
easiest fix would be to move the existing plasma config files and start fresh to see if something got corrupted
you could also remove just the panel by clicking the cashew removing it but this doesn't back it up "plasma interface is on the task bar " - you mean the panel? if you shrink the panel so the gap is larger does the flashing become readable (or move the panel to the top) |

But thats the thing. I cannot interact with plasma at all. Is there any alternative ways of setting it back to default settings? UPDATE: Thank you! Solved my problem. |
