Hey.
Would it be a good idea to use KDE 3.1 Slackware or other distro on my Dell Latitude LS 400? It has the following specs: 750MHZ Intel P3 256MB Ram 10GB HDD |

personally I'd use something minimal like Puppy, if you Google you'd find distro's that are built specifically for older hardware with minimal ram and hard drive. Of course this doesn't mean Slackware won't work but you're talking a pretty old cpu. And isn't the Slackware with kde 3.1 old, like 2003?
If you want a lightweight Slackware variant VectorLinux Light is recommended here http://www.brighthub.com/computing/linu ... 43541.aspx here's a list of light weights http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Minimal_Linux_distros |

meh ive installed it on computers somewhat similar to that. Ran fine, as long as you didnt have anything fancy going.
You could also try trinity, which is KDE 3 |
