K.I.I.M is Reincarnated.

Tue May 24, 2011 11:49 pm
Quite a while ago, I was around these parts for a new type of program, called K.I.I.M (KDE's Intelligent Information Manager). I went dark for a while, but I have, as you can see, returned, with an even bolder concept, which is now starting to become real.

Myself, and my team, are designing Wintermute; a next-generation F/OSS chatbot capable of practically anything you'd wish it to do. We have the tools and technologies to build it, all we need are developers and programmers.

Because of the immense scale of Wintermute, myself and a few others elected to create a non-profit organization, called the Synthetic Intellect Institute, to create, develop and maintain technologies like Wintermute, and to assist in the creation and perfection of other technologies, like speech recognition, optical character recognition, etc. This is done for the benefit of the F/OSS world (come on, we have been rather light in terms of AI technology)

We need people familiar with Python, Qt and C++, (any of them would be good) a sense of humour is also a requirement ;)
From a UI perspective, we will be building under the Qt/KDE stack (hence my post here, plus you kind people were quite interested in K.I.I.M when I came out with the idea)

Wintermute will cover an entire span of technologies, and anyone interested in AI technology should also consider applying.

If you have questions, please ask them here, or find us on Freenode (##sii-general) and have a chat with them.

Thank you.
