KCalc Key Bindings

Sun Jul 31, 2011 3:34 am
Hello, I looked in KCalc's Help Menu, and online, how can I set my Calculator button on this keyboard to show/load the KCalc Program? All I could find in the settings were the Science Mode, Normal Mode, I'd like KCalc to appear on screen after pressing this Calculator Button.. Thanks.

System Settings -> Shorcuts and Gestures -> Custom Shortcuts
Edit -> New -> Global Shortcut -> Command/URL
Add on Action tab Command/URL: kcalc and enter a Shortcut on the Trigger tab

It appears it's been changed, I have KDE 4.7, and I seen the Global, but not a Custom Shortcut, sorry.

No, on Kubuntu 11.04 with kde 4.7.0 + branch 4.7 / master compiled from sources I have Custom Shortcuts -> seems you have a broken installation.

Running "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental", and ensuring that you have all components of KDE Workspace installed should fix this. Otherwise contact your distributor, as they may have unintentionally broken it.
