I just would like to show you a bug which remains unfixed in KDE 4 since its inception, for more than 3.5 years now. I did report this bug years ago, but reporting it should not have been even necessary, since this bug is super-obvious: Everybody using KDE with German localization should see it every time he logs out. Fixing it would probably be easy, but nobody cares...
Here it is: ![]() Label and text of the button are not aligned, they overlap each other. Why am I posting this? Not sure, maybe a posting like this is not wanted here, then delete it if you want. But I want to say this: If such a bug remains unfixed for years, then there must be something very wrong with the way how KDE 4 is led and organized. And ultimately it seems that KDE developers simply don't take their work seriously. |

You say you have reported the bug - do you know if the bug report has actually been pursued, acted upon or acknowledged? I only ask because I don't think many KDE developers spend much time on this forum so they are unlikely to see your post. I don't intend this as any kind of criticism of them whatever - just stating the fact. It has been mentioned in several other past threads.

First of all: I see now that my posting does not serve much of a purpose, because I am not really up to a lengthy discussion. Sorry for that. It was probably due to an outbreak of frustration.
@fraxinus: Now when you say it... I reported the bug yesterday, not remembering that I actually had reported this bug before (but under a different login), in spring 2009. Now a developer marked my new bug report as a duplicate, so I know that at least one person has seen this bug report. Maybe for the first time because the old bug report ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189948 ) is marked as UNCONFIRMED. |

Actually I have seen that a numerous locations of KDE (also German language). Honestly I never cared to open a bug report since there are a lot of problems that are much worse.
