How can I change the default folder icons KDE. It is not that I don't like them so much, but I found a better one, fitting my color scheme.
I am not talking about a icon theme either, just one icon to replace the default blue icon. I've tried both ways covered here: [link] but none of them seems to work (in fact the one with icons in .../places/... seems to do quite the other thing) I'd be much grateful for the answer ![]() |

my guess is that if you just wish to change the color:

I don't wanna change the color. I have a nice png with folder icon, and I want to use it as a default folder icon. But your method showed me one interesting thing: in the set effect window I have a preview of my desired folder look (it's probably after changes I've made in /usr/share/icons/oxygen), but in dolphin (and even Konqueror) I still see the original folder icon. Btw: thanks for your tip as I didn't know this option, but it is not what I wished. Still looking ![]() |
