Because some people find 6 months too quick. Too quick meaning that there is not enough time to purge out the bugs that new code inherently has ( even the best programmers will unintentionally code bugs )

oh.i found that konqueror's "ctrl+click" on a hyper-link would not to open in a new tab,however i had chosen the option "open in a new tab".new page is always showed in a new window by using "ctrl+click".

Bug report are always welcome! The official place to post them is https://bugs.kde.org/. See the links at the top of the page. You should always "query existing reports" first to see if your bug has already been reported. If not then use "report new wish or bug"

the good thing about the 6 months kubuntu relation is that every new kde version is released about 3 months before the next kubuntu release.. so there is time to fix the most annoying bugs and every kde4.x.3 will find its way into the kubuntu release.. does't seem like a bad constellation to me


or am i totally wrong and 9.04 will not ship 4.2.x ?

So? I do not use Ubuntu.

There WILL always be a major distribution that will (unfortunately?) not ship the latest KDE in its latest release.
