Not sure how to upgrade KDE

Sat Nov 05, 2011 3:23 pm
I'm in Linux Mint 8 KDE. The KDE version is 4.3.5
I've never seen any auto update for this ... but I'm not easily finding out how one upgrades... or if there is any danger to system in doing so.

Any help much appreciated. I love KDE

really a question for Mint, but you should note Mint 8 has been obsolete since April 2011 and Mint 12 is in preview. Normally I would guess you could use Kubuntu's ppa's but since Kameric is no longer available you may not be able to find a 4.6 ppa (but then you might)

the only other things I can think of is either upgrading Mint or compiling KDE
