I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct area (I'm new). However, I have a major problem and I thought maybe someone here would know the answer. I was trying to change my OpenPGP key expiration date on Kleopatra and something horrible went wrong. All my private keys were deleted. I have no idea how this happened.

I still have the passcode and the revocation certificate. But now I can't use my secret key for my email account; it says I only have a public key, which is useless to me. Does anyone know if it is possible to restore the private key and how? No, I never made backups. Frankly, I never thought this would happen. So can anyone help me restore my private key? |

Your best bet is to have a look under ~/.gnupg to see if you can locate your private key - otherwise you will need to generate a new one.
