gecko for konqueror

Tue Feb 14, 2012 11:23 am
hello everyone

i was wondering is there any plan to add gecko to konqueror

and give it the ability to use firefox plugins

=================

i always wish that KDE developers take the idea from lunascape

and make konqueror like it

i mean give konqueror the ability to use three layout engines

like lunascape which has (( gecko / webkit / trident ))

and it has the ability to use firefox and chrome plugins AFAIK

and the konqueror will has the same idea about plugins

but in layout engine it will has (( gecko / webkit / khtml ))

so how about it

As far as I am aware, Gecko is heavily integrated into the way Firefox works, and no plans exist to make it usable from Qt, and therefore it will not be usable in Konqueror. You can try the Webkit backend however, which should be treated similar to Safari.
