Blown away by how "it all just works".

Hi.

a) "The new paradigm" of the Koffice suite in terms of ergonomics.
b) That odp, as produced by Kpresenter, is now able to be shown and projected by a MS system. (this may not be "KDE" it may be a larger effort of ODF, but it works and that is what I care about).
c) the whole Akonadi, PIM thing was a "start and stop" for so long and the last month it has all just worked. And because of that I had the "freedom of thought" to discover that one could use a calendar item from a cellphone, synced through Google and make a new calendar item, a todo, etc. :)
d) I forsee that the whole "thing" of KDE apps will, relatively quickly, be integrated, in other words that Koffice will integrate with Kontact, etc. etc.

BTW, if one is really QUICK, one sees a "KDE global..." thing that appears for a fleeting second just before Amarok starts....

hmmm wonder what THAT is all about... lol

Anyhow.... it just blows me away that the whole KDE thing is now becoming almost a "gestalt".

The ONLY thing that bothers me is that there does not seem to be a concerted effort to somehow get this onto "hardware" and into "enterprise". Maybe "enterprise" wants simple, just the facts m'am" as Sgt. Webb used to say, but it just bothers me that this whole wonderful, hightly integrated system is just.... another Linux as far as putting it onto "commercial" hardware.

Maybe later..don't know...

Anyway, I just love it.
