Why shortcut doesn't have a standard in KDE (or better in freedesktop.org)

Konsole is special because your shell may use many Ctrl shortcuts. That's why e.g. the shortcuts for copy and paste aren't the standard Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V either in most terminals.

Please be aware that different developers have made different decisions regarding what default shortcuts should be. In general, when shortcuts are available KDE allows the user to completely customise them to their own liking, usually from the Settings > Configure Shortcuts menu.

KDE uses "Alt + ." or "F8" to show Hidden files in Dolphin - shortcuts which many users likely already use. As mentioned above, this shortcut can be freely changed.
