Copy a file from DVD to hard drive

Wed Aug 22, 2012 4:58 pm
I wrote a file to a DVD-RW using growisofs, and K3B correctly shows this file when importing the session into a new data project. How may I copy this file from the DVD back to the hard drive? K3B does not allow me to drag file from the imported session to the file system window on the left of the screen.

Here is what the K3B media info window shows about the recorded track.

I guess I am responding to my own request for help.
I was finally able to mount the DVD through K3b, and
then used mount -l to see how K3b did this:
Code: Select all
/dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom type iso9660 (ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,utf8,user=frodo)

After shutting down K3b, editing my /etc/fstab and unmouning the DVD (left over
after K3b shut down), I was able to moung the DVD and see the files.

Normally KDE should offer the option to mount a disc using either the Device Notifier - or from the sidebar in Dolphin.
