Burning Hi-res files

Hi.
I have a recent problem that I never experienced before. I used to be able to burn hi-res flac files with K3b but it seems I can no longer do this. I have many files that are 24/96 & burning them to CD was never a problem until recently. I'm assuming that K3b automatically compressed 24/96 files to 16/44 because a 1000MB file would burn at a total size of around 450MB (for a simple example). At this point, any 24/96 file that I try to burn, K3b just crashes.

I've never had a problem burning 24/96 flac files until very recently. I've gone back & tried to (re)burn files that I have burned before using K3b & I'm having no luck. This was a very convenient feature that I liked about this program & I'm confused as to why it can no longer do this.....I hope this makes sense in the way I described my issue.

This is the error that I get while trying to add to project:

I can convert my files to 16/44, but it takes time & more space that I never had to worry about before..... Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Can you possibly generate a backtrace (Developer Information tab of the Crash Handler)?

This indicates a crash in ffmpeg's libavcodec. Please make sure it is fully up to date - and try with other audio files if possible.

I have a related problem here, but somewhat different.

Whenever I try to burn 24-bit, 96 kHz FLAC files, the process completes successfully but the end result is a CD with the supposed correct tracks but without audio of any kind. It's just like if k3b recorded digital zeros into the CD audio.

I'm using k3b on Fedora 20 with libavcodec.so.55 from ffmpeg-libs 2.1.5 of rpmfusion. Any hints?
