Hello, good morning.
From a long time (from my previous writter) I have the next troubles from K3B 1) (first the most important) When the burning session reaches the 99 per cent written, K3B reports: Input/Output error and aborts the recording. Although some discs can be readed after this error, others bring problems leaving some files unreadable. Like extra information, I can say that the equipment is a Dell xps 15 laptop, and the writter was purchased a week ago, being only used with linux (actually I don't have a windows partition). I think that the data bus is ok because, the writer can easyly read archives from any means. 2) The writter always burning at really slow speed. For example, using a 6x disc with the 6x settings on k3b, the maximun record velocity is 1.5x I don't have any idea. I don't know how and where find error logs. Please any help? Thanks in advance. |

K3b log is ~/.kde[4]/shar/apps/k3b/lastlog.log
K3b is a front end to various command line tools so you will need to investigate the actual command used, assuming you use cdrkit to do the actual work you might consider replacing it with cdrtools. Also see if there's similar issues at your distro's forum |

run kdebugdialog -> deselect all -> search -> k3b -> select k3b -> ok
then run K3b again and any K3b errors should show in ~/.xession-error |
