Hi.
When ripping CDs, K3b has a button called "Save CDDB Entry Locally". I assume this is supposed to save any CDDB-fetched and/or user-entered metadata so K3b doesn't have to reload them. Does this ever work? It does not work for me. At least, it does not save user-entered metadata. If I try to save CDDB entry and then restart K3b, it will forget all data I had entered and reload it all from CDDB. I filed a bug report about this two years ago, which has been collecting dust ever since: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271134 I am wondering why no one else notices. I would think others would have this issue. Does "Save CDDB Entry Locally" work for any of you? |

Hi! Saw ur post while trying to find answer to my problem, and yes I think they are related. I have k3b 2.0.2 on openSUSE 13.1 w/settings to allow cddb search while copying audio disk. However, k3b copies/burns the disk, but no title/artist info is copied to the finished/burned disk. What I get on the completed disk is: 'Track1.wav', 'Track2.wav', . . .etc. Honestly, I almost didn't notice due to never, *ever* had this issue before now. Last time I burned audio disks was maybe 6 months ago; no problem then or ever before. Always, k3b inserted the correct title/artist info from the disk I was copying. I'll keep this thread posted if I find a solution. Note: I did a new start-up of the 'copy cd' process to really pay attention and what I found is that k3b *is* listing the correct title/artist info (bottom pane) *but* this data is greyed-out! Don't know what or why this is. Again, I will follow up if I find anything more. Take Care. Have A Healthy, Prosperous Day!!
