I have a problem with writing DVDs as the disc seems to be completed correctly but is not.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 ( Gnome/Unity) with all updates. When I write a DVD or dual layer DVD it is unusable. It seems to create 2 sessions. Viewing the media information from a disc created with K3B gives the following:
A disc from the same pack created with Brasero shows :
The same thing happens whether I use a single or dual layer disc. Lastlog.log from the above K3B write is as follows:
This was from some HP DVD+R double layer discs. I much prefer K3B but obviously this is no good. Previous versions have been fine. Any thoughts as to how I could solve the problem? |

Quite unusual. Have you tried determining the command(s) K3b is using to invoke cdrecord, and determining what commands Brasero is using? If you could, comparing them may reveal some useful details to debug this.
