Bad discs from k3b version 2.02

I have a problem with writing DVDs as the disc seems to be completed correctly but is not.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 ( Gnome/Unity) with all updates.
When I write a DVD or dual layer DVD it is unusable. It seems to create 2 sessions. Viewing the media information from a disc created with K3B gives the following:

This was from some HP DVD+R double layer discs.
I much prefer K3B but obviously this is no good.
Previous versions have been fine.
Any thoughts as to how I could solve the problem?
