can't set External Audio Encoder

Sat Jun 14, 2014 2:44 pm
Using k3b-2.0.2-20.20130927git.fc20.x86_64 on Fedora 20.

I'm trying to create a custom audio encoder that will use fdk_aac, but I can't even get a simple encoder to work.

In Plugins>K3b External Audio Encoder I have:

ffmpeg -i - -vn %f

I've run it with Swap Byte Order both checked and unchecked.

I've run the command as : cat test-k3b.wav | ffmpeg -i - -vn /opt/test-k3b.m4a
and that works.

But in K3b:

Starting digital audio extraction (ripping)
Command failed: ffmpeg -i - -vn /opt/test-k3b.m4a
Error encoding track 1

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried the "Write Wave Header" option to ensure ffmpeg knows what it is dealing with?
