I need to burn a VCD and I have done it many times but now on a newer system I do not seem able to. I am on Peppermint Linux OS where I am still able to be dependent on KDE applications as I ever was. Anyway I need to burn some mpegs to CDs. And for some strange reason this task has become impossible as of late on a newer install. I have almost always relied on TAO for all my disk burning in K3b and now I can not seem to find TAO at all in the repos that are provided by my down stream distribution. To be clear, this is the first time I have had nearly this much trouble with this task on this distribution. It is all really quite beyond me at this point why or how this has come up. I think the best I can do is post a link to my Peppermint forums for some context as to how I came to posting this question here.

TAO is a recording method (track at once) not an executable, the package wodim (or cdrtools) would provide the functionality
I only see an i/o error "Track 01: 0 of 1 MB written.Errno: 5 (Input/output error)," you need to Google the actual error message, it might be a rights issue https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread. ... -RW-in-K3b |
