Trying to burn a dvd (.iso) with k3b [2.9.90+git20160111.2358-10.5] & external burner It gets stuck at preparing data: What I have done: Checked md5 sums [valid] Checked user in cdrom group [failed] added & rebooted [no change] Checked .iso association to k3b [passed] Checked file permissions kilbert&-rw-r--r-- [passed] Checked burner in other pc [passed] Checked burner can read dvd in current pc [passed] Checked user/group
Moved file & burner to another PC (windows) and it burned straight away. Ran in konsole:
I did not see any errors As soon as i pressed start in k3b I received an error along the line of "invalid url: qurl =/home/kilbert/downloads/linuxmintx64.iso.XXXX" where by the XXX last 4 digits are continually climbing. Any help is appreciated. |

you should try a non-git version of the K3b package as suggested in the openSUSE forums

My search for an answer sent me here, and was told to ask here, if for nothing else so the creator knows of the issue. If it is this boards policy not to report/discuss issues or potential bugs, I did not see it.
I can likely change versions, but was not sure If I made a mistake that an experienced person may have caught, or if there is a bigger issue that I need to report a bug. I was told THIS is the place to do that. |

you should post a bug on bugs.kde.org

I would suggest to try with the stable KDE4 version of k3b (2.0.3) that's included in the standard openSUSE repos, instead of the unreleased KF5 port (2.9.90git).
