I've searched the forum but can't find an answer to my problem.
I am having trouble getting Amarok to use soundkonverter script which I downloaded & installed with Synaptic Pkg Mgr. I'm trying to burn MP3's to an audio cd format. Amarok doesn't see any transcoding/encoding scripts. It calls K3B which can't burn cd's with MP3 files. I know I can use soundkonverter separately to convert mp3 to wav , then use K3b to burn but my wife should be able to do it from Amarok She says "but XP Media Player can" (whatever that is). If M$ can do it, Linux can certainly do it. Distribution is Mepis 8.0 Linux Release 2.6.27-1 KDE is 3.5.10 Amarok 1.4.10 Does anyone know how to get this to work? Thanks in advance for help/advice. You need to install the K3b FFMpeg plugin, which should allow it to automatically transcode the audio.

Thank you bcooksley, I'll give it a go. Cliff UPDATE: I installed libk3b2-mp3 and libk3b2-extracodecs from the Debian Lenny Repos. It worked like a charm, the wife will now be happy, as well as I. She can now use Amarok or K3B to select and burn. Again, many thanks for the help. Cliff

I cannot find a burn CD option in Amarok 2.0.2 at all. How do I burn playlists? I have libxine-ffmpeg installed, but there is no burn option as there was in Amarok 1.4. And dragging and dropping the playlist to the K3B burn area does nothing, although the plus sign, rather than than red "no" circle-line-through-it, appears.

This feature is currently not available in Amarok 2.0 yet.

there is a "Burn Playlist to CD" script that you can try Tools -> Script Manager |
