I'm coping some dvd's and it looks like even though i'm doing a media copy, k3b still copies to the blank media as a session. i can't seem to find how to disable the multisession option.

Where is that option ?

K3B version is 1.91.0
KDE version is 4.4.2 release 238

I think there is a regression in this version when it comes to DVD multisession.

I tried to burn data dvd - just drag files and burn. Now i do have the Misc tab with the multisession options. So i chose "No Multisession"...

...It was burned with a session on it !!!

if this issue is reproducable, you should open a bug report on bugs.kde.org about it, then the developers will look into it.
