K3B for KDE4

Thu Oct 23, 2008 6:19 am
It says that I don't have the mad plugin installed. I have the one for K3B for KDE3. Will that one work with KDE4? or do I need to wait to get that?

4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2) "release 45.4"
K3B Version 1.95-svn

If you have k3b v1.95-svn it seems to be the KDE4 version which is not yet finished(?). So one could expect some problems about that.. ,-)
As the current KDE3 version 1.0.5 works fine within my KDE4 (Kubuntu), I would say that if there are problems with the svn version, you should try the KDE3 version.

The K3B svn version gives the same error on my setup, which is seemingly unresolvable at the moment. MAD is used for encoding/decoding mp3, I think, so it's not a requirement for, say, burning a data cd. But with svn version I can't burn CDs either, better wait until an official beta is released.

OK thanks. I have K3B 1.05 installed.

I do have a problem with that though. KDE4 won't let me copy a CD/DVD. I mean I can use K3B to copy the data, but when I have to switch the CD/DVD KDE4 won't let me eject it saying the device is busy. Any ideas?
