OS: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat)
Laptop: HP HDX 16 with combo DVD/Blu-Ray

I have tried to burn a DVD (Black hawk down with an .iso created from assembling DVD files ripped by DVD fab with DVD shrink) and it has come up with this failure, I have also tried Gnomebaker, and would not like to get anymore coasters.

With K3b, It burned abotu the first 1 and 20 minutes of the movie with out a hitch and then gave me an error report (below) and was wondering if anybody could help me out with this at all. Any help would be appreciated, especially confirmed fixes because Unfortunately blank DVD+R DL are not cheap. If you need more information I will gladly supply it.

For future reference there is an option in K3B to only simulate the burning - it will go through the process as normal but won't burn to disc.

In addition have you checked if the ISO file itself is working properly - vlc and possibly mplayer can play ISOs directly

Yes, the ISO plays perfectly off my laptop HDD using VLC. So that doesn't seem to be an issue unless its an error that the burning software can't skip but VLC can.

Also I don't believe the disks were bad cause I burned 2 coasters of my stack, and then burned a disk off my friends computer (albit a different movie cause he didn't have this one) and they burned just fine.

Also, I'm new to K3b, so I have no idea what the simulate options purpose is and what its benefits are.
