I have been successfully using K3b for years and have copied DVDs before. These are DVDs I created on my DVD recorder.

The DVD I am trying to copy now results in a .iso image that has an invalid file size error when I try to burn it using K3b. K3b created this image file (it said) successfully!

This image file is 3.1 GB. When I try to burn this image, K3b gives the error

This image has an invalid file size. If it has been downloaded make sure the download is complete.

Only continue if you know what you are doing.

I noticed that the previous DVD image I copied and burned successfully was 3.5 GB from a different DVD.

Can anyone provide a solution to this?

PS: My OS is PCLinuxOS 2009.

Please ensure that the file system in use has sufficient free space.

Could you please provide some more information about what version of k3b and KDE you are using.

Thanks for the replies!

First of all, my system has 18.2 GB of free space. So it's not a space problem.

The version of K3b is 1.0.5 running on KDE 3.5.10.

Sorry, that version of k3b is no longer supported. 2.0.x has already been out quite some time now.

You should upgrade to KDE-4 and k3b-2.0.x

Sorry to take so long in updating this. I don't have time to just experiment.

Anyway, I went ahead and burned the DVD copy. Although it gave the file size error, it did do a good copy of the DVD. All seems well. So, I will just ignore the message from now on.

Thanks for your comments everyone!
