bootable mixed mode CD ?

Wed Mar 02, 2011 12:16 am
Have the following idea:
-mixed mode CD
-bootable

Do not know , if it is ( technically ) possible , but I got notice , that K3b may achieve this.

Have run Version 1.91.0 , but have no idea , how to try

Yes , and I keep trying.

I have misburn some CDs with other burning software.
My attempt:

-burn boot record first
-then audio track
-rest of data

I got:
-bootable CD with rest of data OK
-audio track UNreadable

I suspect , that CD player sees only first session ( which contains boot record only )
I think , when boot record will be burned with audio track in first burning session , maybe CD player will see two audio tracks , from which first is "silently" played boot record and second will play correctly.
Other burning sessions will be invisible to CD player , but this is OK.

So I try to risk one more CD, when I get an how-to idea :)
